Last year, my friends and I had talked about backpacking through Italy because we wanted to visit the small towns difficult to visit if you go on a guided tour. We had everything prepared but then we heard it was going to be extremely hot and we chose to do some sightseeing instead and stay at a youth hostel in Rome. We took a plane and at the airport in Rome, I picked up my baggage but we couldn’t find my friend’s so the airline told us they’d send it to where we were lodged.

We visited all the important monuments and took tons of pictures. We even took one of us feeding the doves while we were having a coffee at a lovely plaza! We had a great time, and despite the weather we visited some small villages near Rome where we found the most amazing ruins! We’re definitely going back again!
